The Carlisle baseball team won its third sonsecutive Raccoon River Conference baseball title with a 12-1 record and have moved to 22-7 overall. The Wildcats clinched the title July 1 after completing a sweep of Carroll to end the league season. Junior shortstop Nate Mortimer led the league with his .574 batting average, which included seven doubles and five home runs. Mortimer recorded 22 RBI in league games this year, which also led the conference. Carlisle has six non-conference games to wrap up its regular season and look forward to district play beginning July 14.
