Durham, Egenberger Combine to Two-Hit Chariton

On Tuesday night, May 22, the preseason No. 3 ranked Carlisle baseball team defeated the Chariton Chargers 8-1. Senior Owen Durham started the game, striking out six batters and allowing no hits in 3 2/3 innings pitched. Senior Devin Egenberger picked up his first career win for the Wildcats, pitching 3 1/3 innings, striking out six. Senior Ben Rowray came up big for the Wildcats with runners in scoring position, driving in five runs on the night, including one double. The bottom of the Carlisle line up reached base 8 of 9 times on the night, providing a boost to the lineup. Junior Darek Tingle walked twice, sophomore Nile Foss ripped three singles, and junior Troy Schnathorst also added two hits. 
 
Carlisle will travel to Indianola May 24 night to take on the No. 7 ranked Indians in Warren County action.
