The Carlisle Wildcats dropped their first conference game of the season last Friday at home vs. Winterset, 58-60. During the back-and-forth contest, the Cats trailed by one at the end of the first quarter, led by two at the break, and the teams were tied heading into the final frame. The Wildcats missed a three-pointer at the buzzer, which would have won the game for the home team.

Leading the Wildcats in scoring was junior Collin Lister with 21 and senior Cole Henderson with 15. Coach Poldberg commented, "I was really proud of how hard our team played. Unfortunately, we fell one possession short."

The Cats are now 4-1 and in second place in the Raccoon River Conference and 4-3 overall. Carlisle hosts ADM on Tuesday and travels to Carroll on Friday
