Carlisle topped Perry 79-75 last Friday at home. Junior Collin Lister led the Cats with 32 points. Senior Cole Henderson scored a season-high 21 points and senior Tommy Donovan chipped in 13. Coach Poldberg commented, "It certainly wasn't one of our prettiest wins, but we found a way to get the job done."  Carlisle improved to 7-4 overall and 7-1 in the RRC with the win over Perry.
The Wildcats followed the Perry win by securing a conference win at Bondurant, 77-72, Jan. 23. The victory improved Carlisle's record to 8-4 overall and 8-1 in the Raccoon River Conference. Lister led all scorers with 31 points. Donovan scored 17 points to go along with eight assists, while Henderson added 16 points and eight rebounds. The Wildcats made 24 of 27 free throw attempts in the contest.
Coach Poldberg commented, "We knew this would be a really tough game. Our ability to get to the free throw line and convert on those opportunities ultimately got us the W."
The Cats travel to Boone on Friday for another important RRC match up.
