Senior Collin Lister scored 37 to help lift Carlisle to an 83-28 conference win over Perry in Carlisle on Dec. 7. The Wildcats improved to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Raccoon River Conference. Carlisle outscored Perry 48-15 in the first half on the way to the 55-point win.
Lister's 37 points came on 17-of-21 shooting, including three three-point shots. Senior Nolan Brunsen added 14 with senior Trenton Beck adding seven, sophomore Karson Dunn and junior Jace Vollstedt six each, senior DeShawn Garrett five, junior Hayden Amos four, sophomore Cole Osterhaus three and junior Caleb Wenthe one. Lister, Vollstedt and Amos each had four assists with Brunsen getting three, Beck and sophomore Max Mitchell two each and Garrett, Osterhaus, Wenthe and junior Nate Norton one each.
Brunsen had a team-high 12 rebounds with Amos adding 10. Osterhaus, Norton and Wenthe each had two rebounds and Lister, Garrett, Beck, Mitchell, sophomore Jacob Imhoff and Vollstedt one each. Lister also had five steals with Brunsen getting three, Wenthe and Amos two each and Beck and Vollstedt one each. Norton, Vollstedt and Brunsen also each blocked a shot.
Carlisle's first loss of the season came in a 70-41 setback to Pella Christian at home on Dec. 4. The Wildcats fell behind 33-17 in the first half and were outscored 37-24 in the second half.
Lister led Carlisle with 14 points with Brunsen adding eight, senior Preston Thompson and Norton six each, Amos three and Wenthe and Vollstedt two each. Lister had a team-high five assists with Garrett, Beck, Vollstedt, Amos and Brunsen one each.
Amos had a team-leading seven rebounds with Vollstedt and Brunsen five each, Beck four, Lister and Thompson two each and Norton one. Brunsen had two steals with Lister, Thompson and Norton one each. Thompson also blocked a shot.
