The Carlisle boys soccer team put it all together in their home opener vs. Bondurant-Farrar April 9 and notched a 2-0 win in the Raccoon River Conference match. The Bluejays controlled possession early on, but the Cats settled down and figured out how to advance the ball. Carlisle was up at halftime thanks to a cross from senior Kobi Sadler that freshman Garrett Pienkowski fought to finish. Halfway through the second half, Carlisle went up 2-0 on a great pass from junior Nate Rowray that Sadler then put in the back of the net. The win was a complete team effort. The defense of freshman Kaden Sadler, senior Ben Kooker, freshman Ryan Mohwinkle, senior Blake Durrell, junior Logan Niehaus and senior Cory Critchlow did an outstanding job shutting down their target players and brought home the clean sheet, 2-0.
