The Carlisle cross country team captured both the varsity and JV team titles at the (ADM) Tiger Invitational on Sept. 19th.
The varsity squad was led by senior J.J. Orput, who won his third race of the season in a time of 17:23. Also medaling for the Wildcats were sophomores Zachary Willcox (5th), Collin Lister (7th) and Carter Logue (8th). Freshman Kolby Fritz finished 13th and sophomore Jon Flaws crossed the line in 14th for the Wildcats. Sophomore Nate Rowray also landed in the top 20 with his 16th-place finish.
The team scored 34 points, coming in ahead of Ballard (60), WCV (81), Saydel (122), I-35 (138), ADM (142), Norwalk (156) and a Van Meter (208) team coached by former Carlisle runner Josh Flaws.
The JV team was led by overall champion sophomore Truman Kruse. Also placing in the top 15 were junior Noah Imhoff (3rd), freshman Kyle Miller (4th), freshman Tristen Kessler (6th), junior Tommy Donovan (7th) and sophomore Wyatt Kruse (13th).
The JV team scores were: Carlisle- 21, Ballard -42, ADM -64, Saydel -143, Norwalk -147 and I-35-150.
