The Carlisle boys cross country team opened its season at the DC-G Invite Aug. 28. The No. 9 ranked Wildcats placed second overall of 12 teams with 36 points. The host team, No. 3 ranked DC-G, was the meet champion with 19 points. An astounding 14 Wildcats ran in their first high school cross country meet to kick off the 2017 season.
Carlisle was led by top-25 finishers Kolby Fritz (3rd), Collin Lister (6th), Carter Logue (8th), Kobi Sadler (9th), Tristen Kessler (10th), Nate Rowary (20th), Kyle Miller (21st), and Jon Flaws (23rd).
The meet gave out medals for the Top 7 in each grade. The Carlisle boys brought home more medals (10) than any other team.
Kobi Sadler was the No. 6 senior finisher.
The junior class placed four iamong the top seven, led by Collin Lister (1st), Carter Logue (2nd), Nate Rowary (5th), and Jon Flaws (7th).
The sophomores were led by Kolby Fritz (1st), Tristen Kessler (2nd), and Kyle Miller (4th).
Rounding out the medal winners were freshmen Cole Osterhaus (3rd) and Ethan Schlichte (7th).
