The Carlisle boys cross country team placed seventh in the state meet in Ft. Dodge, marking the best team finish ever for Carlisle. Gilbert was the 3A team champions, followed by DC-G and Decorah.
The Wildcats were led by sophomore Kolby Fritz, who came in 21st place with a time of 16:45. Then came junior Carter Logue in 34th place with a time of 16:55. Next was junior Collin Lister in 62nd place with a time of 17:19. Then came junior Jon Flaws in 66th place with a time of 17:21. Sophomore Kyle Miller was next in 86th place with a time of 17:38. After that came junior Nate Rowray in 99th place with a time of 17:49. Rounding out the 'Super Seven' was senior Kobi Sadler in 107th place with a time of 18:08.
The future looks bright for the Wildcat squad, as they return a lot of talented runners (10 letter winners) who will be motivated to build on this year's success.
