The Carlisle Wildcats cross country team headed to Bridge 23 Running Camps to kick off their 2018 season. Bridge 23 is a 23-acre property conveniently located south of Norwalk. The property is highlighted with a five-acre pond in the center of the property and is ideal for running with a one-mile grass loop around the pond. It also is at the intersection of three gravel roads with rolling hills. It is bordered directly on the west by the famous Great Midwestern Trail, a 16-mile paved bike/running trail that connects with Waterworks Park/Gray's Lake and the DSM trail system. In addition to their daily running, the Wildcats were able to take advantage of other activities like swimming, a variety of indoor and outdoor games and gathered around the campfire at night for some additional bonding time. The new experience turned out to be a great way to begin the season!
