The Carlisle boys won the Norwalk Invitational on Oct. 1. The third-ranked Wildcats scored a meet-low 39 points. Second-place Grinnell scored 68 and third-place Pella had 80. Senior Carter Logue was the team's top finisher in third place. Also medaling for Carlisle (top 15) were Kyle Miller (4th), Kolby Fritz (7th), Tristen Kessler (12th), and Nate Rowray (15th). Rounding out the varsity seven were Brandon Kesner in 16th and Jon Flaws in 27th.
The Wildcat JV team also brought home a team title at Norwalk. They scored 28 points to beat second-place Pella (48 points) and third-place Ballard (76 points). They were led by overall race winner Ethan Schlichte! Also in the top 16 were Hunter Snyder (2nd), Nate Norton (4th), Kaden Sadler (5th), and Lucas Olson (16th). Also in the JV top seven were Mason Ramsey (32nd) and Brayden Kessler (34th).
Eighteen of the Wildcat runners ran their season's best time in what was easily the season's worst conditions (cold and rainy).
