The Wildcats ran a great race at the 51st Indianola Invitational on Sept. 26. The varsity boys tied Ames for the championship, but lost on the tie breaker (place of each team's 6th runner). The top runner for the Cats was Brandon Kesner, who got third-place overall. Right behind Brandon in the top 15 were Kolby Fritz in fourth, Kyle Miller in sixth, Tristen Kessler in ninth, and Kaden Sadler in 13th. Also in the top 25 of the varsity race were Hunter Snyder in 20th and Ethan Schlichte in 25th.
The JV boys finished third out of 12 teams in their race. A staggering 366 runners completed the race. The squad was led by Nate Norton's ninth-place finish. Also in the top 25 of the JV race were Keith Christenson in 15th, Brayden Kessler in 16th, and Quinten Kessler in 25th. Rounding out the JV top 10 were Brady Birkenholtz in 26th, Logan Howard in 27th, Mason Ramsey in 37th, Raymond Birech in 64th, Quincy Griffin in 73rd, and Lincoln Eighmy in 74th.
