The Carlisle boys punched their ticket to the state XC meet for the fourth consecutive year by winning the state qualifying meet in Atlantic Oct. 24. Carlisle scored a meet-low 44 points to take the title. North Polk came in second place with 59 points and Atlantic grabbed third place with 107. The Cats had five automatic qualifiers (top 15) at the meet, led by Kolby Fritz's fourth-place finish. Following Fritz were Kyle Miller in sixth, Brandon Kesner in eighth, Tristen Kessler in 12th, and Ethan Schlichte in 14th. Also running well for Carlisle were Hunter Snyder in 31st and Nate Norton in 34th. The boys will run at the state meet in Fort Dodge on Saturday, Nov. 2.
