Carlisle slipped to 4-3 on the season following losses at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn on Dec. 11 and Boone on Dec. 14. The Wildcats are 2-2 in the Raccoon River Conference after the losses.
Carlisle carried an early 17-15 lead after the first quarter, but was outscored 52-20 the rest of the way, falling to ADM 67-37. Junior Molly Hoekstra led the Wildcats with 15 points, including three 3-pointers. Sophomore Sydney Berg added eight with junior Kennedy Preston chipped in six, junior Delaney Schnathorst four and sophomore Aubrey Furnal and junior Kennady Prenosil two each. Preston had a team-high five assists with senior Megan Sievers getting three and Berg, Schnathorst and Hoekstra getting one each. Hoekstra led the team with 10 rebounds with Berg and Schnathorst each getting seven, Preston four, Sievers and sophomore Amelia Sinclair two each and freshman Madi Watts one. Preston had three steals with Hoekstra getting two and Sievers and Watts one each. Hoekstra also blocked two shots.
Boone 54, Carlisle 44
Carlisle fell behind early at Boone on Dec. 14 and tried to rally in a 54-44 loss at Boone. A 21-3 Boone first-quarter run put Carlisle in an 18-point hole. The Wildcats rallied in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 31-21 at halftime. The rally continued in the third quarter with Carlisle closing to 39-33, but Boone edged away in the fourth quarter.
