Wildcats Finish Third at Indianola Invite

The Wildcat girls finished third in the 12-team Indianola Invitational behind 4A No. 11 Ankeny Centennial and No. 12 Urbandale. The 3A No. 11 ranked Wildcats were once again led by an outstanding individual performance by freshman Ainsley Erzen.  Erzen won by 45 seconds, setting the course record for the fourth time in four meets.  She was followed closely by senior Megan Sievers in fourth place, and junior Abby Noonan in fifth.  Sophomore Ella Andersen took over six minutes off her time from this meet last year, turning in an outstanding performance to finish 26th overall.  Jocelyn Haack and Mady Taylor closed out the varsity scoring in 40th and 48th places overall.  The Wildcats will next compete at the SE Polk Invitational next Thursday.
