Girls Finish Sixth at Grinnell Invite

The Wildcats competed in hot and humid conditions against some of the best 2A, 3A, and 4A girls teams in the state at the Grinnell Invitational, finishing sixth out of 14 teams.  Class 3A No. 6 DCG was the team champion. Ainsley Erzen won for the second time in as many races in 2019. Her time of 18:57 was a new course record and topped 11 other ranked runners from 2A, 3A, and 4A. Tessa Erzen (3A #16), Riley Sievers, Maria Kuittinen and Bella Pagel all stepped up in just their second high school race.  Another exciting development for the Wildcats was the opportunity to field a complete JV squad.  That group also finished sixth out of 14 teams.
