The Carlisle girls track and field team used a split-squad line-up in competition at Norwalk April 8. The line-up consisted of mainly junior varsity competitors with many members of the varsity roster preparing to compete the next day in Ames. While the line-up was young, the Wildcats once again stepped up and set numerous personal bests over the course of the afternoon. Here are highlights of top-3 performances:
- Adelynn Ahartz (SR) won another long jump competition by leaping 16 feet 2.25 inches. She tied for the longest jump but won due to a further second-best jump.
- Tristine Viers (JR) competed in her first ever open 200, finishing second in a time of 28.14 seconds.
The girls will compete at Ames on Tuesday, April 9.
