60 degress with no wind. That is the weather the track team was looking for and we got it! With a great day to race, the athletes stepped up in big ways all around the track and field sphere. Massive PRs, a Drake Blue standard, and when it was all said and done, the girls placed 3rd with 117.5 points behind DCG and Norwalk. 

Ainlsey E placed 1st in the 400m dash with a time of 56.48, which is also a Drake Relays Blue Standard. This is her second automatic bid to the relays at the end of April. Other first-place finishes included Isabelle N in the long jump at 17'-09.75". 

The shuttle hurdle relay team of Reagan R- Cece F- Katie K- Laura Downs run 0.01 off their lifetime best at 1:10.55 and placed 4th. Aubrey M crushes her PR to hit 13.62 in the 100m dash to place 3rd. The 4x100m team of Danica P- Aubrey M- Sage A- Isabelle N ran a season PR of 51.75. Cassie M runs a PR of 1:06.19 in the 400m. Both 100m hurdle runners of Cece F and Katie K run under 18.00 (17.60 and 17.94 respectively). Maya B placed 2nd in the 3000m in a tight field. Marie D runs a PR in the 1500m of 5:29.66 (breaking 5:30!)

With the weather getting better, these times will continue to drop and the team will get better. Our next meet is Thursday at Ogden for varsity and Eddyville for JV.
