The 11th-ranked Lady Carlisle Wildcats toed the line for the first time this season at Dallas Center-Grimes on August 31st. They placed third out of 12 teams with 62 points, only falling to 1st place finisher- DCG (46 points) and 2nd place finisher- Indianola (53 points). Senior Ainsley Erzen, junior Tessa Erzen, sophomore Marie Daggett, sophomore Maya Bergstrom, junior Laura Downs, junior Riley Sievers, and junior Hannah McGraw rounded out the Varsity line up. Ainsley placed 1st in the senior division, Tessa placed 2nd in the junior division, Marie placed 2nd in the sophomore division, and Maya placed 3rd in the sophomore division. Senior Katie Clark, junior Madelynn McFadden, and freshmen Kira Fisk and Mary Gano all set personal best performances. The Wildcats will run again next Tuesday, September 7th at Grinnell. Go Cats!
